INSTRUCTORS
We are extremely lucky to have three 4th degree black belt coaches in BJJ, as well as a 6th Dan Judo coach, and Olympic and Commonwealth competitors coaching the wrestling and K1 programmes.
Head Coach- Wilson Junior 4th Degree black belt
Wilson was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and is the founder and Head coach of Carlson Gracie Team in the UK. He teaches regularly in London and always keeps the class as he was taught in Brazil.
Over 100 BJJ black belts in the UK have Wilson Junior lineage.
Richard (Dickie) Martin 4th degree black belt
Dickie is one of the founder members of Carlson Gracie London and one of Wilson's first black belts (2008). He is one of the most successful athletes from the first generation of UK black belts, winning double Gold medals at World Masters, European and Pan American Championships.
Simon Hayes 4th degree black belt.
Simon is a founding member of Carlson Gracie London and an Oscar winning sound mixer. He holds a 4th degree black belt in BJJ and a 2nd Dan Black belt in Judo. Simon helps teach our beginners programme and will ensure you enjoy starting out on your BJJ journey and meet your goals.
Jonathan Villada 1st degree black belt.
Jon heads up our team of kids' coaches and will ensure your kids have fun and train hard in a safe environment.
Jon also teaches a beginners programme at 10am, and also Thursday and Friday evenings.
He also takes our induction classes and will be happy to introduce you to the club and answer any questions that you might have.
All our coaches are qualified, DBS checked and have first aid qualifications through the UKBJJA.
Grace Anderson
Grace has a wealth of experience in Martial arts, having trained in Thailand and USA as well as extensively in the UK. She has fought in MMA, K1 and BJJ and is also a qualified personal trainer.
Glenn Spiers 6th Dan Judo
Glenn is a 6th Dan in Judo and level 3 coach for the BJA and heads up our Judo programme on Mondays and Saturdays. We are proud to have created many Dan grades with Glenn teaching at our club.
Eric Ciake
Eric heads up our wrestling programme, and as well as being a former international competitor is also;
United World Wrestling Coach educator.

Member of the British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences
All our coaches are qualified, DBS checked and have first aid qualifications through the UKBJJA, British Judo Association or British Wrestling Association.
Thomas Magnitis
Thomas is a BJJ black belt and accomplished MMA fighter. He leads our MMA programme and coaches twice a week.
River Dillon
River was one of our first youngsters to train all the way to BJJ black belt and has had a very successful competition career. He is currently teaching two Nogi classes every week.
Sam Gibson
Sam is a third degree BJJ black belt and competed successfully throughout his career. He secured a bronze medal at the European Championships adult division and teaches every Thursday.

Joss Ayres
Joss is one of the youngest black belts in the UK, and a very successful competitor. He is teaching a 10am beginners class on wednesday, and a drills class on thursday at 11am.
