Women’s BJJ


BJJ is an excellent sport for self defence, especially as it focuses on leverage and technique, meaning a women can learn to defend herself against a larger opponent. This is not an easy sport, it is full contact, sweaty, very tiring and hugely rewarding. Come along and try an induction class and you will know if this is the sport for you.

BJJ is suitable for all body types, with each individual having their own strengths and weaknesses and everyone progressing at their own pace. We welcome new members and Women are free to train in any class. 

We run a women’s only class on Tuesdays at 7:30pm, taught by black belt and current European and British Champion, Kat Hill. This is a great place for you to start your journey and to meet some of the other ladies who train at Carlson Gracie London.

Our Women’s team is very successful with a great structure for all levels with beginners all the way up to Mundials medallists in the classes.
